=Overview= OneWebDay and the [http://www.iyear.us Independence Year Foundation] have teamed up to give Massachusetts citizens a chance to tell politicians and each other what’s important to them in their local area. The genesis of the project is that Governor Deval Patrick conducted and town hall meetings around Massachusetts this summer, and then posted video of the meetings to [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRm4zeXoW_o his own YouTube Channel]. By setting up video stations around Massachusetts, OneWebDay will embrace and extend the Governor's YouTube channel. We'll have enthusiastic volunteers running stations making it easy for anyone to contribute regardless of technical ability. Web-savvy users will also be able to contribute from home. After OWD, the discussion will move to the [http://iyear.us/about Independence Year platform] where citizens will be able to comment, blog, and plan collective actions around their shared beliefs. OneWebDay is just the beginning of a new kind of participatory democracy. =Participate and Stay Up to Date= We've got an up-to-date list of stations, as well as instructions for starting your own station or submitting video.
